On March 27, 2009, Berytech Fund concluded its first investment in Edulab, a Berytech based company, specialized in the development of digital scientific educational materials adapted to the Lebanese curriculum.

This investment was completed after transforming the company to SAL, and securing a seat on its board, with 30% stake in the company in the form of preferential shares.

Berytech management is now actively engaged in supporting Edulab and helping the team in their internal reorganization and structuring, as well as their product development and marketing strategy.

Edulab was established in 2005 by entrepreneurs Elie Chaaya and Dani Awad, after winning Berytech’s incubation award. It later on won the MIT Arab Business Plan Competition, having competed against more than 1600 applicants. It also ranked in top 10 Best European projects organized by Official Internetworking Forum (OIF).
